About Me

As an experienced and qualified psychotherapist and counsellor, my aim is to help clients achieve a greater sense of ease within themselves. I am a registered member of the UK Council for Psychotherapy (UKCP) and the BACP professional associations and have been seeing clients for nine years.

I am passionate about helping people achieve their full potential in life. I believe that once our inner life is tended too and the challenges we face explored more fully, in a compassionate and mindful way in the presence of a receptive other, this paves the way for a natural unfolding of our true self. I hope to accompany you in this process of discovery and it is a privilege of the work I do that I am able to walk alongside clients for part of their journey.

“We don’t have to do it all alone. We were never meant to.”

- Brené Brown

I am interested in how you relate to yourself, what lies behind this and in seeking ways in which to improve this relationship if needed. Whilst there is inherent healing value in this endevour alone, it is also my experience that a poor quality of relationship to self affects our ability to create and nurture the kind of fulfilling relationships and feeling of connection with others and the world that as humans we crave and which are so crucial to our sense of wellbeing and satisfaction in life. With greater acceptance and self-nurturing, it can become easier to make any changes we hope to make in our life.

Before training as a psychotherapist, I worked in corporate communications and in the civil service. I am bilingual and able to offer sessions in Portuguese as well as English.

My therapy practice is LGBTQ inclusive and I enjoy working with clients from a variety of backgrounds. My two practices accommodate people with limited mobility.
